All about the E.
Whisky (no E) is how the majority of the world spells it. It seems like Scotland and Ireland both claim they invented the wondrous liquid, but in Scotland they use no E whereas Ireland uses the E.
In America it’s all about the E.
However, for me, since I’m a Scotch lover and trying to be a bit of a purist (or snob as my friends like to point out), I will always refer to whisky without the E, unless I’m specifically talking about American or Irish whiskey.
